2017 Arctic Science Conference

The 2017 Arctic Science Conference will be held October 14th in Fairbanks, Alaska. The conference theme is Ways of Knowing the Arctic.

The theme of the meeting reflects the idea that "Art and Science" are two components of a holistic view of an earth-system. This is especially true of the Arctic system which is undergoing measurable change from a scientific perspective. Art engages community members with the science and enables the community to adapt and thrive while preserving their identity and emotional health.

Conference topics include traditional scientific disciplines, science education, arctic social sciences, biomedical research, and artistic interpretation of the evolving North. Information about the planned conference agenda can be found on the conference overview page.
